you know the style of braids/plaits that the elves have in the recent lord of the rings films? i was hoping someone on this site could email me at galvaniconline@hotmail.com to tell me how to braid in this style, with four strands of hair. Please help! many thanks, Lou

Hi! Sorry, I can't help you with the 'how-to' part of it...I have short hair and was never good with braids in the first place. But...which elves are you referring to? Arwen (Liv Tyler)? Legolas (Orlando Bloom)? The Lorien Elves? I only ask cuz I'm a huge fan of both the books and the films & out of curiosity. Altho I don't know how to do the braids, you might want to check the website TheOneRing.com for pictures and LOTR related links... that might be able to help you.
Good luck & I hope your Elvish style turns out beautifully. I LOVE the Elves' hairstyles (I wish mine was long again so I could try them).

I assume you talk about the braid Legolas and his kin wear.
It is a herring bone braid.
