Hello

Earlier today I had my hair bleached blonde by my dad, however it was his first time and only a very few strands of blonde are visible in my medium brown hair as opposed to last time when i did it at the hairdressers and a lot of blonde was visible.

I have now decided than rather try bleaching it again, to dye it all black.

How long do you reckon I would need to wait (considering only a few strands are blonde) to dye it without damaging my hair as i want to do it ASAP

Thank you very much

Tom

Hi Tom,

First of all did you have previous colour all ready on your hair before bleaching, how long was the bleach left on for, was it a cap your dad used, these are all questions that could have caused your blonde to be so sparse.

If you are going to colour your hair black, just note that black is a very hard colour to lift back out of the hair, so if you were to decide to go blonde again, this could prove difficult with black hair.

If your hair is in good condition after your bleaching, then it should be ok to go ahead and colour it black, if it is very dry and brittle, I would suggest 2 weeks with good conditioning treatments first.

I hope this helped a little.
