Hi there
I have just joined this site and am looking for advice on a good summer hair style for me (I am in Australia so the weather is just starting to warm up).  I am a 41yo busy working mother with very thick fast growing hair.  here is a picture of me:

I usually use a hair straightener on my hair but not sure if I can be bothered over summer as I will be swimming a lot and it is also very humid where I am.  I am wondering if I can get away with a pixie cut with my face?  I have kind of a big nose and don't tend to wear much makeup.
Many thanks to anyone who can help.  I am happy for people to be brutally honest, ie, would prefer that to getting a disastrous haircut!LOL

I think you could wear a pixie.  They don't tend to look very feminine with a face that is not wearing any makeup, but whether one wants to look feminine or not is a matter of personal preference.  I'd say if you've got the urge, try it out, and grow it back if you don't like it.
