What are your thoughts on the ethnic product section of hair care aisles at drug stores and convenience stores?
If they were to fix it, what would be some of your suggestions?

the only products I see are Luster's; Motions; African Pride; Doo Gro and the $.99 jars of Blue Magic hair grease. @ The BSS's near me I see tons of imitation products and product lines. How there's ORS (Organic Root Stimulator) they have another ORS in similar packaging (bottle design) not as natural (Organic Root Salon) and sometimes they're mixed together ------------- |

I agree...they carry way too much low budget stuff. I prefer using a salon quality product in my hair. But you know what...for a pharmacy I don't even buy my products there. Either online or at the Beauty Supply. I have come to realize, that some products not created for Afro type hair is great. For example, I love Nexxus Humectress. I call it "hair crack"  . I mix Nexxus with my fave protein conditioner, sit under a heating cap for :30 minutes and it makes my hair soooo soft. You have a great point there but I have tried A LOT of products and the pharmacy brands are just not as potent for me. I have to use like half of the bottle to get good use. What are your thoughts on how "hair relaxers/ products for ethnic hair are usually seperated from the overall shampoo/styling product aisle? Also, What are your thoughts on your hair as a black woman? How does it define you? What does it say about you?
**I am asking these questions because I am currently researching how to improve the African American hair care aisle for a major retailer so this is your opportunity to speak up and give your input in how you would like to see it improve.
