I have light/medium neutral/cool brown hair with TONS of bleach hilites. They are so heavy that they seem to grow out within 3 weeks. I don't want to permanently color my highlights, but would like a color depositing conditioner or semi permanent color that would unify my roots and hilites until I can see my stylist. I was considering Clairol Natural Instincts Golden Shimmer in Golden Honey

Honestly, I'm just embarrassed of these horrible roots. I'm working with my stylist to figure out some options...but what to do in the meantime?? I know she'll be upset that I colored my hair at home (I know it's a no no) so I'm hoping not to effect my hair detrimentally. Please help.

As long as it is a semi you use, it will be fine. I understand salon are expensive, as I work in one as a stylist, lol, and often have clients applying colour to there hair out of necessity. I don't find it a problem as long as its a semi colour and not a permanent. Semi can be lifted fro hi lighted hair quite easily.

I hope this helped.

Better add, as long as its not a darker shade, ie black, dark brown, as this can cause a few problems
