I need some help. I have been highlighting my hair for years now ( my natural color is brown). I had my roots touched up yesterday @ a professional hair salon. The only problem is my hair turned out a reddish-light brown color with a few strands of blonde. The problem is I wanted it to be blonder than it is. I think the problem is the hairstylist left the toner on too long which toned the color down too much. My question is is there any way I can fix this myself without having to drive an hour to have the salon redo it? Any suggestions would be AWESOME. Thanks!!

The toner the hairstylist used will fade in time, after about 3 or 4 washes, or you could use a purple/violet shampoo to brighten your hi lights.

Also, do a few clarifying shampoos, then deep condition. Heavy conditioning also helps to push out some of the dyes on the hair!
