I was wondering what people do for water only wash. I did find an old thread from 2006 and read through it but I was wondering if people are still doing water only
I'm curious to know what people do about excessive oil on their roots. I know I am supposed to work the oil down onto my ends but it's the roots that get me. my hair looks very oily almost wet. lucky for me I am a student so I can wear a hat everyday while I adjust
can anyone give me some advice? thanks

Water only never worked that well for me, I can't stand the very root oil you are talking about. I have tried just washing with conditioner, that helps to remove scalp oil, and also diluted shampoo, which works best for me. Sorry I'm not more help!

It's important that you massage your scalp thoroughly while water-washing or co-washing. I can't totally go without shampoo, but I use both of these methods to go longer between shampooing. (when I use water only, I still condition the length)
