Hi- I thought I would ask about hair static? What is it and what is it caused by? You know what Im talking about right? Those little or long hairs that seem to want to stick up on top and out to the side.
My hair condition is in really good shape and is quite healthy and strong. So I know its not that. Is there anything, any product out there that can help stop this problem- because I get so annoyed when I use gel or hairspray to try to keep the static down and them two minutes later a few little hairs want to pop up...Please help???
Cheers*****

Hi! I've had a lot of trouble with static too. I've read that it's something to do with lack of moisture, that is caused by the dryness of cold air. But I'm sure there's a lot of people on this board who know a lot more on the subject than I do.

What I do know is that you have to keep using a conditioner when you're experiencing static. I've found that a conditioner that you have to leave in works much better in this case than the kind you rinse out.

Hope this helps!

A humidifier in your house/apartment helps during dry times.

It is really dry where I live right now, anytime the furnace has to be on, it gets dry.

I use a bedside table top model, works great and is inexpensive.

I agree with Sophie,

But I might add to make sure you are using a lite conditioner or detangler. This can also help.
