I'm thrilled with my new extensions, I have three wefts sewn in and they are long:)
I've had a headache since they were put in and overall they feel tender, I don't even want to brush my hair. Took some Tylenol and it helped a bit, I'm just a big baby when it comes to pain so I'm wondering what is average time for extensions to 'hurt' before we are used to them? (understanding that is a subjective question)
Also where can one find really good strong tools for holding this hair up? I'm not sure i can even gather it into a ponytail:P)

Heya! Congrats on your new hair. :) It wouldn't be unrealistic to have a sore head for 4 or 5 days or even a week after an install. A looper brush is pretty comfortable going over tracks and bonds. Do you have one? If anything, make sure you use your fingers to gently separate the hair where it's installed. Ya never want a matt to begin developing because they can quickly get out of control. A claw type holder works pretty well for large amounts of hair. I'm thinking you want to pile it up and get it off your neck from time to time? Those things are everywhere - Sally's, Longs, W-Mart, Rite-Aid, etc. An elastic headband can also hold hair up off the neck or be used as a ponytail holder if you have a lot of hair in. ------------- http://shrinkies.net - Extension Supplies & Virgin Brazilian Hair |

Hi Amm, I noticied on your site, you state that you can use LG to seal wefts as well as for direct track bonding. I never knew this. Have you personally used it to seal wefts? If so, how did it hold up as compared to other weft sealing methods. Thanks.

I sewed my extensions in on Monday, I had the sensation that there was something on my head, not a sore feeling. Maybe a little bit tight, not much. I am very tenderheaded. I can't stand alot of pain either, I guess that is the reason why I do my own extensions

velvet covered scrunchies are great for ponytails because they don't pull tightly on one area of your head and they don't damage the hair. The velvet also 'grips' the hair comfortably. Congrats on the new hair! |
