Of the two different types of hair I've had for extensions, both were #4.  I'm wondering if color is pretty much consistent from manufacturer to manufacturer.  I'm just trying to save on buying a color chart for myself!! (I'm cheap, I know)

Maybe, I have had four different "brands" #4 and 3 of them were very close in color.
Then again I have had five #2 and 2 out of 5 were the same color.

You could always tell us the brand you use and the brand you're looking at, most of us have color rings if not the hair itself, we will help you! ^_^

Its always best to get a color ring or samples of the hair/brand before purchasing. Colors can vary quite a bit between brands.

Colors can even vary a little in different batches of any brand/type of hair

I don't mind buying a color ring, but at this point I'm not sure what hair/manufacturer I am going to end up with.  So it would stink to buy a zillion different color rings in addition to each "experimental" hair.  Maybe I should pick it out in a hair supply store instead. (?)
