Hi all - In another message below I described how my well-meaning sister's "trim" morphed my long, naturally curly hair into a shoulder-length mullet. I ordered clip in extensions (in Bohyme Deep Wave, color #18) and am loving them. I was a little concerned about blending them at first since my own haircut was so bad, but my fantastic stylist was about to make them look like I'd been growing them on my head for years! I wanted to post pictures for anyone curious about the deep wave ... I loosened the curl a little bit with sponge rollers to match my own hair ... when I first got the extensions the curls were pretty tight. The first picture is my natural hair pre-mullet haircut, the second picture is the infamous mullet, and the third is my hair now with the extensions. Thanks again for everyone's advice and information!  |

| I'm really glad you posted those pics that makes me feel better as I just got my Boyhme deep wave in the mail and was freaking out b/c the wave is so tight and my curl is more natural spiral. I will try the sponge rollers. Is it true you can't use a curling iron? Also the shine worries me this hair is so much shineier than mine I'm afraid it won't look natural. |

Madsbrittsmom - you are welcome ... I panicked when I first received the extensions in the mail ... they were expensive and I thought there was NO WAY that I was going to get them to blend with my natural hair. The rollers will help a lot ... I've found that if you curl them with the sponge rollers you can also spray them lightly with water afterward and let them air dry, and the curl will relax just slightly making them look even more natural.
I also had to take the extensions to a stylist to have them trimmed to blend with my own hair ... the Bohyme is gorgeous but it was "too much hair" at first ... heavy looking (especially at the ends) and too long to be natural. The stylist had to razor a good bit of hair to make them look believable. I hated to cut them, but it made a world of difference! I am thrilled with them now.
I would try not to use a curling iron on them ... the Bohyme hair can be damaged by heat styling tools just like our own, natural hair.

| PS - the shine is also toned down a lot after you spray them with water and curl them the first time ... my natural hair is somewhat dry and can look a little dull, and the extensions match my texture perfectly. |

Thanks for the compliments! I thought I was going to save a little money by having my sister cut my hair. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. This whole ordeal has cost me about 10 times what simply going to a salon to get my hair cut in the first place would have. I can't WAIT for my own hair to grow out, but the extensions are a great option in the meantime. |
