ok. im confused lol! theres so many diff hair straigteners out there i dont know which way to go, i currently own a maxi glide and i loved it, BUT i stepped on it when i moved into a new apt lol! And my warranty is up, now i am debating on trying one of these newer irons such as the chi or sedu that ive heard about but i wanted other peoples opinions before i figgure out what i want to buy...thanks

also does any one recommend a cheaper alternative to the $100+ straighteners such as something from wal mart or target perhaps? thanks again!

I have the Solia now and I love it. Smile  I remember debating this a few years ago and narrowed my choice down to Solia and Sedu. They both seem to be similar, I didn't notice any major differences between the irons. I ended up going with the Solia b/c it was a little cheaper (this was about 5 years ago, so I don't know what the current price for either straightener is now). I paid about $80 for it I think. The Sedu was close to $100. I ordered mine from Folica.com. You can just go to the website and read the different reviews to give you an idea which way you wanna go. Hope this helps.

I'm like 4 months late on this so you probably don't need my help but just incase I've heard a lot great things about all three. However, I've heard from a ton of people that the chi doesn't last long. Many people like the sedu but personally, I'm saving up my cash for a solia. I've heard great reviews and I like all the features. They also have a lot of pretty colors and are only 80 bucks :D

But if you really want a cheaper one than they do have some ceramics at walmart for about 30 dollars

but if you flat iron a lot i would get a good one with ceramix tourmaline plates
