| My daughter had a "back to school" bob haircut. I asked the hairdresser to make it short but wasn't expecting it to be as short as it was. She cut it mid ear and then clipper shaved her neck. My daughter didn't mind the haircut but I nearly died as it reminded me of one my mother gave me when I was younger. The hairdresser said it was in fashion to wear it this short but I haven't seen any other girls with it cut like this. I have to admit after about 2 weeks now the hairstyle is growing on me. |

Not sure that it is in, I haven't seen it in my area, mainly angled bobs and short pixes here.

| In my experience a hairdressers Idea of short is much shorter than the average womans ! Is it a blunt bob or an angled one ? Did you ask for the neck to be clippered specifically as usually hairdressers only do that if you ak for it and if you don't they usually just cut the hair under the bob shorter with scissors. What did you actually ask for her to cut ? |

| Her bob is a blunt bob at mid ear length. I asked for a short bob and no she didn't ask if she could clipper the neck but then I suppose she looked at my haircut which is an angled bob with the back slightly clippered and thought it would be OK. My daughter didn't complain and it wasn't the hairdresser that I go to as she is too expensive. I dashed out of the hairdressers and left her for about half an hour! |

| Yes, I assume she thought you wanted your daughters hair cut the same way as you have yours. As long as your daughter is ok with the cut I don't suppose there is any problem. So you weren't there while the cut was being done ? What did you think when you came back and saw the results of the cut ? What did your daughter say about the cut afterwards ? |

| I just popped out to the shop to grab something and was a little longer than anticipated and it was nearly complete by the time I got back. I freaked as it reminded me of one my mother gave me when I was little. However my daughter didn't seem to mind. It was me! But it is growning on me now and she likes it, others have commented that it looks cute on her. |

i am having trouble believing this thread.
who leaves a kid at a salon by themselves?
how old is she? if you like the cut on you why even question the hairdresser for cutting it on your daughter?
whats the big deal then? ------------- Long with BLUNT bangs or ALL cut to lip length, I cant decide my favorite! |

Does anybody have any pics of the China Doll Box Bob haircut because I never heard about this bob before and it sounds like a very different looking bob to me or am I not looking hard enough on google?
