So I color my hair frequently, but no matter what color or shade I use, it always ends up looking brassy.  It doesn't help that I have well water, either!  This is what I did to get rid of the orange/brass yuk....
I should mention that I was a dyed shade of light brown; which of course looked brassy!
 
3 oz Ash Dark Blonde in Clairol Complements Demi
1 oz Light Ash Brown in Clairol Complements Demi
4 oz Clairol Complements Color Prompter (developer)
 
Mixed well and applied all over.  Left on for about 20 minutes. 
 
 
Now, I also only use Malibu 2000 shampoo and conditioner formulated for Well Water.  I also use the weekly conditioning pack of crystals; put it in and get in the tanning bed with a towel on my head! 
 
NO MORE BRASS!!!
