I've had bleached blonde hair forever. Well I figured I'd give it a whirl and switch things up a bit. I went to a salon and had SEMI-PERM dark brown lowlights put in. It looked good when I first saw it but as the day went on I found myself wishing I had my blonde back. Cry I think the problem is that he put too many lowlights in and I'm mostly brown now and not blonde. I really didn't think he'd change my color that much but he foiled the heck out of my hair. It just looks "muddy" if that makes sense.

Last night I read up on how to fade the lowlights. I used Prell and did a deep conditioner afterwards followed with a hot oil treatment. Not much changed.

I'd really like to stay away from doing an all over bleach. Mainly because I don't want to damage my hair any worse than it already is. I know I won't be able to go back to my one solid color bleach blonde look and I'm okay with that. I just don't want this dark brown, almost black, look going on.

Should I try ColorFix or ColorOOPS? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

PS: I've been using a powder bleach with a 30V cream developer. I've never used a toner. I wouldn't even know how to use it. LOL

okay nevermind!!!!!  Tongue

I DID IT!!!!! I did the Color OOPS and OOPS IT TOOK THE DARK COLOR OUT. YAY!!!!!!!! I'm sooo happy with the color now. It's not as blonde as it was before but it is much much better and I think I like this color over my old platinum popcorn

My hair stinks to high hell but I had NO SHEDDING! My hair even feels better. Of course I did a deep conditioner afterwards but it feels GREAT.

one happy OOPSE'r,

I am so pleased it worked out for you in the end. Can I ask were you shown a colour shade chart at the salon before they applied you colour?

Glad that worked, I'm temted to try one myself. I got the bright idea to color my platinum locks dark brown awhile back and now every 4 weekes i'm highlighting it. But from working in a salon I have had every color imaginable in my hair. It will probably lift to orange!Smile
