Hi all lovely ladies! Smile

Im new to hairextensions,,,

,,,been wearing lacewigs but now I feel i want my own hair. But the problem is my hair is only 2,5 inches long right now, is there any hair-extensionmethod to make it longer? Or will it just look VERY wierd if my own hair is thie short? Or could i put 'tracks' and weaves in my hair to make it longer? Or is there any other method that works better if one has short hair? (like keratine-wax?)

If you think 2,5 inches is too short to put extensions in, how long does my own hair have to be for the best result?

Thanks alot!!

half-wigs can be useful. You wear them like a headband; very easy to use. Will look very natural if colour matches perfectly and you don't even have to blend it with your hair (you can, but if you use a headband to cover the seam it takes seconds to apply)

Hair should be about three inches long to be blended correctly. I myself have about 4 inch long hair root too tip. I wear clip ins and I pull them of really well. I buy my clip in extensions from www.buyhair.co.uk, I then took them to get style by a hairdresser and they look really good, the hair extensions themselfs have lasted me about 6 month up to now and are still in great condition.
Hope this helps

You can absolutely wear your hair short!! You might want to visit a stylist so they can style and shape your hair to make it look more stylish rather than to just look like your hair is "short". Look through a few hair magazines and bring the image with you to the stylist. You might need to add a few pieces to your hair to obtain the look you desire but that might be a better option than a full head of extensions.

If you would rather have longer hair, fusion could be a good option for you but your hair would have to be a bit longer to ensure the bond or links are thoroughly covered.

Meanwhile, there are a myriad of other extension options while your hair is growing out. Good luck!!

A few clip in pieces which have been styled by a profesional would look great! And would give you some extra length! my friend had short pixie cut and had been growing it out for AGES, it got to about 3 - 4 inch long. she done some research bought a weft of hair and some clips and said to her hair dresser "help me" hahah. she basically made a few hair pieces out of the weft and cut her hair and the extensions into shoulder length style. the hair dresses sewd the clips onto the weft and it looked great, she got the weft for really cheap on-line as well, from somewhere called buyhair.co.uk I think check it out :)
