I'd like to know if it is possible to go blonde again from dyed hair? I've been bleached to blonde before I decided to go a very light brown. Right now it's about a level 6 light brown color but it's already fading. I was about level 8-9 blonde beforehand. I dyed a permanent light brown on my blond hair. Now, I've changed my mind and wanted to go blonde again like I was previously. Will ColorFix remove the light brown and any old blonde tint I had on before the brown dye was put in? Then use a toner with violet base or do I need to prebleach after removing the brown color? My hair's in okay state, just a little dry and slightly porous, and had frequent trims to get rid of dead ends. I got thick hair too. Otherwise, it's shiny and smooth with some conditioners I use.

Will colorfix remove the light brown? I can't say for sure that it will, but it might. Colorfix is low in peroxide, so its worth a shot. Rinse really well after using it to get as much color out as you can. Since your hair was lightened and porous before you dyed it, it may also be worth trying clarifying shampoo or trying baking soda/ shampoo mixed together half and half. (Normally these might only fade dye a little, but since your hair was lightened and porous, it may have more of an effect for you, its something to try that is less damaging than bleaching).
Your other question. Will the colorfix remove the blonde tint that you had put in? No. It may change the tone, or make it more brassy, but your hair was lightened to get it to blonde and lightening removes stuff from your natural hair, it doesn't add - this is permanent.
To decide whether you will need toner or bleach after you try the colorfix or clarifying washes, you will need to see what your hair comes out looking like. You can't make a decision of what to do next until you know if the colorfix will leave your hair orange or yellow, or have no effect. Any of these are a possibility. You are probably going to want to dye it if it comes out yellow with a violet based blonde to make it look more natural, or decide whether you want to do bleach if it comes out orange or still brown (so you may want to be prepared for you and a hat to make a second trip to the beauty shop after you do this - this is why a test strand is still a good idea, even for removing color). If you get orange, it may be worth doing colorfix repeatedly until you get yellow. If there's no change and its still brown, there's no point in trying colorfix again.

I have used ColorFix and it has successfully made my hair to a yellow/gold color with a bit of brassiness. Does this mean I can go ahead and dye my hair with a blonde with violet base or bleach my hair first?
