Hi this is my first post and I am hoping someone can share some good advice.  I had my blonde highlighted hair taken to a brownie red at a hairdressers, I was not sure about it and then added some lighter caramel tones, unfortunately this seemed to make the colour dull and mousey, so not wanting to go back to the hairdressers I coloured it myself clairol gloss mahogany this was far too red on top so three days later I visited Sallys who advised on the semi permanent wella koleston colour blonde mahogany.  This has not made any difference and my hair is very red on top and fading on the length as I keep washing it to try and fade the red on top.  Can anyone advise what is my best option please, should I buy another colour, or will this damage my hair, or is there something I can use to tone down the red on top?

Thank you so much for any advice.
