My base color is a medium ash brown and I have 60% silver gray (UGH!). I let it grow out and go back to it's "natural" color because I was tired of coloring it. I use to highlight my hair when I colored it a medium golden brown and it looked great. I wanted to achieve a similar effect on my medium ash brown and blend in the gray so it wasn't so noticeable. I used Nice n Easy Frost & Tip. However, I pulled too much through the cap and got way more blonde than I wanted and it looks kinda flat. Would I be able to pull strands through a cap and use a toner to give it more dimension? What color should I use? I'm guessing that I need a cool color to tone down some of the yellowish strands. It doesn't look bad but I read somewhere that you should ALWAYS use a toner after bleaching. My hair is very healthy so I'm not worried about damaging it.

Im not sure what to tell you. I just hate when I post and peeps dont respond!! No offense Big%20smile Toners might be the answer but Im still pretty new to this so Im not the best to tell you. Just if you try a toner, ALWAYS do a test strand first on a peice of hair you want to change. Go to my thread that is right below yours. You will see it. THere is lots of info on toners. Im struggling on toners right now. Im trying to get the yellow/gold out of my bleached hair. Good luck!! Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will respond!!
