Howdy all!  I recently came into a situation where I can't afford my stylist anymore..  I can afford to have her do my highlights BUT not my base color..  SO, I am a big fan of goldwell color and my natural color is about a 7 (yep, dark).  I have very porus hair and it has been through alot!
My question is:  I bought goldwell 8NP-Light blonde/ pearl beige and want to lift the roots (new growth) to a light beigey blonde color.. I will have my stylist do the white highlights (i like my hair light).  I used the 20 volume topchic developer BUT it did not lift AT ALL!  Do I need something else to make it lift?  I want to lift it without damaging it too much.
Any and all advice is appreciated!!!
