I was wondering how I could gently remove a semi-permanent color from hair. I have colorfix but feel this is alittle harsh. This is for my daughter's hair that we tried to color for the first time and the color didn't take and we want to remove it before we try again.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Colour removers or bleach are your only option I'm afraid. I would advise you use the colour remover instead of the bleach. Colour removers are not as harsh as bleach.
Your other option is to let the colour fade. How old id your daughter? ------------- karen sanderson |

Thanks for the advice. I will definately use the color remover. My daughter is 15 and just wanted to lighten her hair a shade or two for the summer. She is a medium brown. I used natural extincts thinking it would do the trick and if she didn't like it it wouldn't be too hard to get out but it actually did nothing at all except put in a few reddish highlights which she didn't like too much. Another person on here suggested luminiez to lift it a shade so that is what I was going to try after I removed the semi.
