I've been trying to find products that keep my hair looking "wet" sort-to-say and shiny. The problem I have with gel products is that after applying the gel, it becomes stiff and doesn't look shiny at all.

Usually, I spike my hair with some L'Oreal FX product like Out of Bed, Remouldable Texture Effect or Extreme Gel, but it never gets me a look that makes my hair look "wet".

I know this might be a bit strange of a description in terms of what I'm looking for, but if you have an idea, please recommend some products or give me some feedback. Very much appreciated. :)

[EDIT]

Oh. And is using too much gel all the time a bad thing for your hair? (Or hair that grows underneath?)

Try Paul Mitchells Super Clean Sculpting Gel mixed with Gloss Drops.

It does just what its title says. It is very clean and it RINSES out before you even shampoo.

I really believe you would LOVE this!!!

hey paradigmx
been a long time since i seen you here.
you have to email me.
you still havent told me the outcime of your story ;)

you want you hair to be shiny now....
do you still have your higlights?.....
i was just wondering though....

Loreal also has this shiny mousse spray gel thing???? that make your hair shiny.
I'm not sure if you put it before you apply your gel or after.
experiment, dont worry i know many hairstylist that "cocktailed" their products to achieved that certain look :)

for guys using to much gel does' nt really do anything bad to the hair. i mean if you keep it generally short or medium you wont really see the effect if there is any in the long run.

hello there!
I just discovered the other day that brylcreme is very good for making your hair look shiny and smooth... apply it into wet hair. but be careful to not use to mych of it, then itīll become greasy! but a small amount of it works just fine!
