Hi, I recently bought clip-in hair extensions from HeadKandy.com and I am so disapointed!

The clips on these extensions are huge and white (which does not blend!)but even worse, they are only sewn on in two spots on the very top of the clip, so the clip is constantly flipping over the top of the hair extension, causing them to stick out and not secure well.

I am not a newbie to clip-ins and all past types I have had were sewn on in four places on each clip.  I want to secure these clips better, since I can't return the extensions at this point, but because the clip is so large, the only thing to sew them to would be the actual hair (not the reinforced band) and I think that would cause the hair not to lay right and get bunched up.

So I am wondering if  I should replace all the clips with smaller, nuetral clips?.  Is this process a losing precess or can it be done?  (I don't have a ton of patience) Are their any precautions I should be aware of?  Thanks!  I can't afford to pay another $165 for new extensions right now...

It is my recommendation that anyone interested in buying hair extensions stay away from HeadKandy.

I ended up trying to leave a comment on their webpage about my issue with their clips and of course HeadKandy will only let positive comments appear.  However, they did email me back to apologize for the clip problem. They went on to explain that they used to have the smaller clips on their extensions, but had changed to the big clips.

They acknowledged there was obviously an issue with the big (white?!) clips, because they said that as of next week they were going back to the small clips.  That is all fine and dandy, but if they knew there was a problem with the large clips, and they knew they were reverting back to the correct clips, why did they send me the faulty large clip extensions? They offered to refund me $15.90 of the $165.00, but what about the $150 I still spent for unwearable extensions?  They said they can’t exchange them because of strict health and safety legislation, which I understand, but I feel they should have either refunded all of my money or sent me replacement extensions.  Unbelievable.

You can replace the clips on your own with neutral colored clips.
You'll need upholstery type thread to sew them on.

I'm just curious, what color is the extension hair?

How is the clip size a fault? The pictures on their website show the large clips, you got what was advetized. I prefer the larger clips to the small but any size works.

They were golden blond.  And looked beautiful the day I received them (give or take the clips)

However, they did not hold up.  They shedded a LOT.  They were noticably thinner after just a week of wearing.  I am still vacumming up wads and wads of long blond hair from my floor.  Then they started knotting so bad it would take me hours to carefully try and untangle the extensions each night.  They started to look awefull by the second week. By the end of the second week, their tangling had progressed to tighly matting.  The mass of matted hair was so bad I couldn't even begin to untangle them - not with detangler,or  anything

I emailed Hairkandy in tears and they graciously agreed to refund me.  It cost me $24 to ship the extensions back to the UK, but it was worth it to be rid of them.

Going forward, I will go back to wearing only quality remy hair extensions!

I have learned that if it looks to good to be true, it probably is!

Hi!
I am so sorry I didn't see your post...cause I ordered from Headkcandy.com.I got my order today.I ordered a full head set (102 Euros),12-14''/ 32-36 cm,hot toffee....Anyhow,I open them and they seem just too short so I measure them and it turns out that there is not even a hair that reaches 30 cm...more like 28 cm...They are absolutely useless to me,cause my hair is longer...I ordered the shortes ones because I didn't want to cut them...but I was expecting to get the size it said on the page...I ordered from them a year ago the same item and they really were long 32-36 cm and I even had to cut them a little....and now this...even the color is so much darker than the last time.I opened a dispute on paypal....I paid extra 40 Euros on tax and customs....I'm so mad........
DO NOT ORDER FROM HEADKANDY.COM

I, too, had a disappointing experience with HeadKandy. Their extensions were way shorter than advertised, by like 6 inches. The tops of the extensions are rigid in a way that it is hard to have them 'bend' to fit the shape of your head and not stick out where the end of the pieces are. They have horrible customer service. STAY AWAY FROM HEADKANDY.....I can see I am not the only one who has had a problem with them.

This whole thread is a reminder to me about why I make my own clip-ins. You don't have to deal with the hassle of sh*tty clips or bad hair. You can buy the best hair, lots of clips (Ebay) and make several sets that fit your head perfectly!

I also had a really bad experience with them. the hair I bought was not the length they advertised and the clips where bulky and useless. I then tried xxx.xxx.xxx, and I've never had any problems! the hair has kept very full and thick, I've currently got them in at the moment using liquid gold bond-a-weave and they look gorgeous :)
hope I helped

Hi,
I complained about the lenght of my Headkandy...so I didn't even wear them until a few days ago.I cut my hair a few inches so they kind of fit me...I only put 2 wefts with 3 clips, and then I noticed that one of them was hanging off my head,so I took it off and saw that one clip was broken....those two little holes that each clip has, well, one of those holes just opened....they should be like melted at the point where the metal touches but these were so loose, and so the clip can't click anymore and I can't use it....I don't know how to change the clips.....
I also removed a couple of long white treads that were sawn into one weft...and they were sawn like hair....even the same lenght...
I tried to put the quad weft, but it was way too heavy....my head hurt...

OMG so shocked, I love my Headkandy.  I am a stylist and have worked with so many types of extensions.  Headkandy are by far my favourite.  You should ask them to repair your clip because they are really approachable.

Yes,I did and they said that's impossible...and then they sent me some kind of legal document saying they will sue me if I continue with my accusations......I even raised a PayPal dispute...but nothing....
But how do you know that they are very approachable if you never had a problem with them????It's not very likely you'd be contacting them if you were satisified with your product??????Little strange....but I'm guessing you are on their pay roll.....
I went to the page rewiev centre, and I wrote my rewiev....but they didn't publish it...and there were like 100 rewievs there all positive...5 stars...
I'm pretty sure that people who work for them write most of the stuff and of course those girls on youtube and their blogs who get them for free...
If everything was ok with mine,if they were everything I payed for...I still wouldn't write rewievs lenght of a novel saying how I want to marry my quad weft and how they transformed my life....
