Hi, when using hot rollers what have you found to be the best setting gel (or other product) to hold the curl? Ideally it wouldn't leave the curl really stiff, but still hold the style. Oh, and this would be for a pretty curly set - the hot rollers I'm using are 1/2".
Thanks!

Redken hot sets
or
Paul Mitchell Heat Seal
Both protect the hair from further damage from heat and holds beautifully.

Thanks for the input. Are they also good for holding with a curling iron? I don't mean to seem completely inept, but I just am not having much luck getting curls to really hold.
Happy Day!

I tried the Redken Hot Sets, and it seems to work well, except it is really sticky/gooey! I suppose thats to be expected. But, that said, anyone here know of anything else that give great hold but is possibly softer?
Also, are there any setting products that aren't alcohol based? I've always heard that alcohol really dries out hair?
THanks! Corkscrew
