I just wanted to thank everyone that helped me understand the importance of reading the ingredients in shampoos/conditioners/styling products. Those that helped me find a good hairbrush, shampoos and conditioners, etc.

I would also like to add that I trully love this board! I finally found a shampoo and conditioner that my mom and I just love (Redken All Soft), I am also now using Redken outshine, really makes my hair soft!

My hair is a little dry at the bottom. I went through a phase where I colored it at least 3 times in 1 month! But now, I am taking really good care of it.

I am still learning though and I will keep reading and ask questions. Thanks so much you guys!

ps... thanks so much Amanda for helping me set up my pic! as u can see, took me a few tries to actually get it to work but I did it!

Me too. And the link in your signature doesn't work, because apparently you're not allowed to access that site from such a link. (It probably looks OK from your computer, because it's your account.)

I'm glad you're so happy with your hair!! I used to dye the heck out of my hair, too.

Great hair! Good color & it's in wonderful condition. How long is it, in inches(measured from the middle of your front hairline to the ends)? Thanks for sharing!

Hi crazygirl

You have gorgeous hair .

Is that a tatoo of a sword on your lower back? It looks cool and kinda mysterious.

Princess Monica - My natural haircolor is black but changed throughout the year... LOL... I was young then, I dyed my hair so much. Now, it's light brown with reddish highlights... I still can't stop myself from dying. I went from black, to brown to red to blonde in like 6 months... and made a huge mistake in dyeing my hair black - so I light highlights that turned a bit red (this pic)... which came out ok... hehe...

Amanda Panda - I don't know how to measure.

Lyris - I will be trying Neutrogena overnight treatment that you have been talking about. I love All Soft! Outshine smells so pretty!!!

Uzma - No, it's a small rose that I have gotten like 10 years ago... I don't want it anymore... LOL. I kinda like that sword thing that you mentioned.

My hair is dry at the ends, I am thinking of taking 2 inches off to get rid of them. Thanks you guys!

i love the color. it's very pretty! i have medium brown hair with my own redish gold highlights in them. i don't like the redish gold in my hair but that my natural color. i'm italian but have a little bit of irish in me. i think that's where i get it.

You have nice hair! And natural! I have to color mine, otherwise, it's just plain... too plain.

HI Crazygirl--
do you have any bangs? I was just curious.
your hair so healthy and shiny!
do you get any frizziness at all? is it naturally straight?

Thank you CYN!

I used to have bangs, I always thought I had this huge forehead and I should cover it but my boyfriend kept telling me to grow it out (that was a yr ago) so now, they are all grown out. They are not all the same length tho, I have the sides layered a little.

The color (I goofed) I dyed black which was a big no - no according to my stylist. What she did was weave in some highlights to soften the color up, turned kinda reddish but I liked it! I am thankful to have found a caring and understanding stylist.

The picture made my hair look a lot healthier than it is, my hair is dry at the ends and yes, I get a lot of frizz! I am now using Redken outshine which I love but I feel like it's not enough. My hair is fine mixed with medium corse - wavy. I have to blow dry with a paddle brush to get the frizziness out and to flatten it a little, otherwise, I would look like a chia pet! I have really thick hair!!!

CRAZYGIRL,
highlights huh? nice :)
the reason i asked is becuz i have to color my hair! Once i turned 30 (33 now) i started getting alot of grey in front---the most noticeable spot! :(
my hair is thick and wavy--and frizzy too. i need to use the brush to straightened it out---but i dont. my hair is too long and it takes me forever!

I know what you mean CYN, having a long, thick, wavy hair is hard to maintain. I shower every morning and blow dry. I spend about 30 minutes on hair alone each day.

I bought the ION hair dryer, I liked it. It's faster and feels like it doesn't fry my hair. I use Nature's Therapy to protect my hair from the heat (hope it is doing it's job) and I use Redken outshine when it's almost dry and then I start combing. When it's fully dry, that's when I use the paddle brush. It's hard work! My right arm gets really tired. LOL.

Have you tried using Redken All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner?

If you find a good frizz control stuff, please let me know... Thanks!

I have to agree with the Redken All Soft. I started using it around the beginning of may or so, and I absolutely love it! I think this is probably the best shape my hair has been in in a long time. I will have to order some more soon..i'm getting down to about a bottle and a half. I'm thinking of trying the anti-snap too, but I haven't made up my mind yet. I'm glad that you found a product that works for yoU!!!

All Soft makes ever shower heaven. It may smell better than it works, but it works well for me too! If you like the scent Softsoap makes a "milk and honey" shower gel that smells similar--not the same but in the same vein. Great stuff, that All Soft!

I have tried the Extreme Shampoo and Conditioner and didn't like it for some reason. I have tried the Anti-Snap, and wondered if I did something wrong because I didn't like it either. I found a Beauty Supply store that is very cool (besides Sally's of course!), they always give you samples to try. Maybe I should try anti-snap again since I have heard great stuff about it.

You know what else smells good? Redken Outshine. Smells so good, once you put on your hair. Specially when I start blowdrying.

CrazyGirl, I didn't really like Anti-Snap that much either. I found it made my hair feel stiff. I guess it has too much protein in it for me. :( I love the smell tho!
