I decided to embrace my grays and stop coloring my hair! It's been 8 months since I last touched up my roots with permanent hair dye. I have about 4" of virgin growth. My virgin hair is very dark, almost black. The dyed part is a reddish brown. I was thinking of using a demi or semi on the faded dyed part to try to darken it up and match my virgin hair better. I'm afraid if I don't do something, I'll end up cutting it off, and I really don't want to do that. Cry I'm letting my hair grow and BSL is my goal.  Any suggestions?

Might sound crazy, but I read about using a cooled coffe rinse to stain hair darker.  Here is the link I found:

That is interesting, thanks for the link Citas01!
 
I tryed the semi and had good results. I used half med brown and half dark brown. I think I need to go a little darker, next time I'll use just the dark brown.
