I don't see any but I've heard claims to
the contrary. I've also read on this site
that hair dyes for men use worse
ingredients (certainly, some male dye
jobs I've seen are like totally unnatural
looking, worse than many female ones).
Why the difference?

That's a good question. I have noticed how some brands make different hair dye for guys and girls but I really don't think that there is a difference.
