When it comes to beauty, I've always wondered how important
"Professional Advice" is to women and men. Lately more than ever, i've
tried to look at a few professional beauty/health specialists like this
one itsaglamthing.com/pro-advice.php. "I know everyone knows I love
itsaglamthing!" But i'm not sure how I feel about it compared to my own
ideas and that of my friends and family. Just putting it out there... Do you rely on professional advice to complete your perfect look? |

Nope. Unless it is not working for Hollywood, the professionals tend to create a fake look. IMO, you know your face best and it is you who can create the ultimate look. Of course you can get tips, like wetting the sponge before foundation elevates covering but experimenting is way more better. |

| It really depends on the specifics of the question or problem. If you've got a medical problem or question you'd definately want the services of a professional, but if it concerns how you look, then it should be whatever floats your boat. Then again, if your looking into the science of hair color or the right cut for the shape of your head, it makes sense to talk to a professional. |

If you are getting your work very sharp and to the point that you have to take a professional advice. it is very necessary and to lots of benifits as compare to ordinary advice. It is very useful.

| I think it can be a nice change of pace to get some tips from a professional in regards to make up application. I practically have done the same makeup routine for the last 10 years, but have found some new techniques along the way thanks to the experts. If you are having a problem with your skin you definitely need to seek professional help instead of trying to self-diagnose and self-treat. |

I agree with the other poster, if it is a medical issue professional help is a good idea. Overall beauty advice varies depending on where you go, personal preferences, individual style and how experienced and knowledgeable the professional is. Personally I don’t think their advice is necessarily better than yours or mine just because they are professionals. Some professionals such as makeup artists and other beauty experts are not very knowledgeable even though they claim to be. For example I hate going to a hair salon and the people working there have terrible hair! Or going to a makeup artist and their makeup is done terribly. I have even watched a makeup artist work on people and she did everyone’s make up like her own, which wasn’t very good by the way! I have also had experience with beauty and makeup professionals that couldn’t match colors and didn’t know how to properly guide people to the right products. It really depends on the professional, some are great and can give you great tips, tricks and advice and some aren’t as good and don’t have great style. If someone is totally new to the particular area of beauty they are interested in then a professional could be beneficial. You can also do a lot of research for yourself; there are some great amateur makeup artists and even some very experienced ones on the net and Youtube that do wonderful tutorials on all things beauty. A lot of information written by professionals is at your fingertips without having to pay for a consultation. |
