I have a question about what forum I should belong to? the reason why I am asking is because I am in the between length of growing it to donate.  My hair right now is about an inch and a half above the shoulder. I am planning on donating atleast 15 inches of hair. I am also on planning to grow  it to my backside. I know it is going to be a long time for it to grow to the length I want. I have been reading up on the hair donation websites. After reading it I was still determined to donated it.My freind inspired me to donated it because she has Alapecia, I hope I spell it right. I am taking vitamins with biotin in it and also taking flax seed oil caplet everyday.How does this work with hair growth? I also eat plenty of healthy foods and drink alot of water. I also was told I should sell my hair when it gets to the length I want. has anybody done this? Which is better to do?I was just wondering about the other. I am still going with my gut instincts about donating it.

Since you're planning on cutting it you might want to post in the short hair forum, but this one is o.k too.

I think that until they create a "Hair Donation" forum, here is the place you want to be.  Sounds like it will be a year or two until you make the donation if you're wanting to donate 15 inches (based on six inches per year average growth).

Thank you Hawg for that info. I will look into that forum. There is another question I  just came up with. When does people considered the hair long and to get off the short hair Forum? I am still trying to figure it out. If there was any misunderstanding on when I say when I will be cutting it after I grow it to donated. I will be cutting it below the shoulders. My hairdresser told me that my curly hair will be at least more than 20 inches by time I grow it to where I want It.

You may have misunderstood me; there is not a forum for "hair donation" that I could find; maybe they will create one in the future, but I doubt it.  Posting here is fine.  I don't think the rules are that strict and I'm surely not the one to be making them.  Everyone is welcome anywhere on this board and in any forum.
