A new look for Paula Abdul: fun, shorter, sleeker, long bangs, albeit not necessarily more flattering.

it isn't bad but not good either...to me it looks like she needs a trim or tidying up of her new style.

It's been about this length for a while now; she wore a very similar style in May 2009 (photos on Getty).  Current iteration might be an inch or two shorter.   I couldn't tell for sure when she went shorter, apparently sometime in late '08 or early '09.  I'm betting that  longer styles since then, such as she  wore at the 2009 American Music Awards in October, are the ubiquitous extensions.

Her long hair was a great style for her.  I'm usually more of a long hair fan, and I generally don't care much for the straight, choppy  look, but oddly enough, I kind of like the shorter style too.  I'd like to see it curled and styled.
