Okay, i've been growing my hair out to get an afro, my hair is about an inch and a half now. But my hair is really looking old and dry and dull. Anndd as i comb it, i accedentally comb a little hair out. I think the reason for my hair falling out is because until now i've been washing my hair about everyday, and my comb is really friggin small.

But how come it has this old, dry look?
I got some cheap little moisturizer, but it only has my hair moist for about 30 minutes and then it just goes back to being really dry. Can someone help me out with this? Because my dad said he'll cut it off next time i go to get an edge up if it still looks like this.

ok suzoryu ....the first thing is stop washing your hair every day the water you wash your hair with may be hard water and that will dry your hair out for sure.

Second thing suzoryu a cheap moisturizer is made with cheap productsDead stay away from cheap...

Possible Solution:
to see if its your water buy a gallon of distill water and when you shampoo your hair shampoo it with the distill water see if that helps

Im only assuming if your using cheap conditioner you might be using cheap shampooConfused...if so use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner also use a leave in conditioner (check sally's beauty supply for these.)

Hope this helps.
