Hi everyone.  My name is Marie and I have spent a great deal of time reviewing the posts on this board and, I have to say, that I really enjoyed reading comments and reviewing the photos.

I have been wearing fusion extensions off and on for a few years (it is kind of a "love/hate" relationship LOL).  By that I mean that I LOVE the way the extensions look but I have a difficult time leaving them in for an extended period of time because of the FEEL of the extensions.  No matter how small the extensions are, I find myself constantly touching the fused part of the extensions.  In my mind, they start to feel bulky, and I want to remove them.  Confused

In any event, I saw a tutorial on how to install flat fusion extensions.  Has anyone tried this method?  If so, would you mind sharing your experience with them?

Happy New Year!

Marie

I just recently read about the flat method. Are you a hairstylist? I'd love to find a quality DIY system for those of us who aren't hair stylists!

No, I'm not a hair stylist.  I am an esthetician and do permanent makeup; however, I love hair extensions.  I tried doing the flat extensions on myself but it didn't work out very well.  I did apply flat extensions on my girlfriend and they looked great!  She likes them so much better than the round ones.  She will attempt to apply the flats in my hair but she isn't a "do-it-yourself" type of person so I don't know how they will come out.  I will have her practice on my mannequin (sp???) first!

Here is the tutorial.  As to supplies, you can buy them from this company or at many of the other companies mentioned on this site.

These flat fusion extensions are referred to as "U-Tipped" fusion extensions. They are shaped like a fingernail tip which is much larger than the standard I-Tip fusion extensions however if you are going for a flatter look, this would do it!

U-Tip fusion extensions are not offered by many vendors however there are companies that offer the http://www.exceptionalhair.com/site/788841/product/custom_fsn - U-Tips as well as many other fusion http://www.exceptionalhair.com/site/788841/page/780475 - supplies .

Please also note that if applied properly (depending on application method), fusion extensions should add enough volume to prevent them from being noticed.

Hair Extensions should be tied in perfectly with the overall style of the dress. For example generally requires a fan dressed in formal hair. A sheath dress is very similar to a flat straight hair. We must also take into account the structure of the dress and the assets of the dress is designed to display. A decision of the dress is very similar to a shoulder updo allowing the shoulders to become the main target. A dress with sleeves or straps may be more appropriate with the hair worn loose.
