Date Posted: December 30 2009 at 11:15am What are the ways to loosen natural curls in the hair?  http://media.photobucket.com/image/lenny%20kravitz%20hair/suwarnaadi/lennykravitz.jpg - Replies: Posted By: Karen Shelton Date Posted: December 30 2009 at 11:24am Your options are: 1.  Use a kit to relax curls (Rusk Relaxer is popular with many young guys at the salons I have worked in) which will slowly revert to natural curl but not immediately.  Keep in mind how fast your hair grows. 2.  Get hair chemically straightened which is not best choice because hair will grow out curly and if your hair grows fast you will have your curls back pretty quick. 3.  Keep hair shorter to keep curls more controlled. 4.  Let curls grow but wear in braids, dreads, coils or twists.  Several young men at my beauty school - Velma B's in South Dallas - came in for short coils.  It kept the curls under control. Of course if you opt for #4 you will not have 360 Waves but you definitely won't have curls. ------------- That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
