How do you care for dread locks?

Whether we are talking about Black hair care, Asian hair care or Caucasian hair care, the way that you will maintain your hair with dreadlocks will have changed a bit from what you are used to.

Dreads should be cared for much like how you would care for braids. The most important tip is how to properly wash them. When you wash your dreads, be sure to do it in the morning when they can completely dry. They should be left down so they can dry properly and thoroughly. Washing them at night or putting them up in a ponytail when drying will ultimately cause them to smell.
