Re-color between appointments Printed From: HairBoutique.com Category: Hair Talk Forum Name: Hair Color Forum Description: The tricks and tribulations of changing your hair color URL: https://talk.hairboutique.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=65782 Printed Date: January 10 2025 at 12:45pm Topic: Re-color between appointments Posted By: jerzey79 Subject: Re-color between appointments Date Posted: January 22 2010 at 9:46pm I have naturally dark brown hair.  I have bright purple sections of hair done by a professional.  To do this, she first lightens my hair, then washes that out, then applies the bright purple color.  The purple does not last very long.  In a couple of weeks, the purple sections fade to the bleached orangey-yellow color.  What can I use to put the purple back in my hair?  I don't want to buy those cheap kits in the drugstore because I think they involve lightening.  I don't want to lighten, I just want to re-color the already lightened sections.  Is there a better product available to non-professionals?  I'd rather go back to the stylist every 6 weeks instead of every 2. help please.  Thank you. :)
