Subject: Wella demi red over bleached plat blonde?

hey, I have bleached plat blonde hair and feel like playing with red for a week or two.

First of all, I'm debating between Manic Panic's Pillarbox Red and Wella Color Charm's demi Fiery Red.

Secondly, I'd like to know whether these will show up pink on plat hair? Should I put in a filler?

Any tips, suggestions, etc.

THANKS!

They wont completley wash out of your hair after a couple of weeks you'll have a hard job going back platinum for a while.
And they will go pinkish after afew washes.
Just get a wig if u dont want a long trem change better than ruining your hair

Thanks!

I plan to apply a bleach cap if/when I get tired of it.

I just want to make sure that it will go on red and not pink, to begin with.

Well, when I went to Sally Beauty, I didn't like either Fiery Red or Pillarbox. So I bought Wella's "Red Blaze" instead (permanent). I suppose the job of bleaching it out when I get tired of it will be about the same. I haven't put it in yet, still getting up the courage!

I put Wella's "red blaze" on the underside of my hair to test it. It looks both too purple and too pink. I can't tell whether that's because my hair was too light to begin with or because I didn't add protein filler.

I would like a red color like Angela Chase/Claire Danes from My So Called Life. Can anyone recommend a color?
Thanks!!!

I put Clairol's Torrid "Audacious" over the Wella pink/purple and it's a beautiful copper shade! It has held up well for a few days.
(this is not a picture of my hair - it's a sample photo from an online store)

I am hoping to find a color that is just a little bit deeper red (like Claire Danes photo above) and will probably stick to Clairol.

I noticed they had a section for reds in the Clairol area at Sally Beauty that didn't really have names. They were called "light blonde red" and "medium brown red" (etc.) but it wasn't real clear to me whether they were actual dyes or just a filler or what. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5789P12eLg&feature=related - It looked similar to what this girl here describes in her youtube video - first she put in a hideous eggplant Feria color and then followed up with a Wella no-name red and came out with a gorgeous result.
