I've colored my hair from medium ash brown to auburn for 6 months- but tried a diff. brand, and it came out very dark. did color oops - got orange. went to a salon - and they put another brown on to hide the orange and got black. went back in and they took out the color, and but dark blond on and here I am in the picture below. I still feel like it looks unnatural and makes me look ruddy. Would a light ash brown take some warmth out?
Help! sarah

it kinda looks like she brought you back to auburn! An ash color will counter act the red in your hair so an ash is the best way to go! Ash does seem to come out a bit darker cause of the tone you might want to try and cover this color with a dark ash blonde to get light ash brown.

I think you have a pretty color! A light ash brown is a great choice. It will still have some reddish tones though,it will be hard to get rid of those unless you go darker, but it will definitely help if you want to minimize redness/ruddiness.
