I've had oily hair ever since 6th grade, I am now 18. Even if I shower at night the next morning it will already be oily, then throughout the day it just gets worse. I have read that a dry scalp can lead to oily hair, and I do itch and have some flakes, but I'm still not entirely sure how to treat my hair. Any advice?

Thanks,
Shawna

So sorry you are one of us that are cursed with the oily hair! Some good news for you,it may just be your hormones since you are still young...Here's hoping?
Women can take birth control pills which can sometimes balance things out in the meantime.
All I can really say is,I know how you feel.I HAVE to wash every day or I feel like a grease slick Angry

I've found that using clarifying shampoos can help hair stay non oily longer. I used the herbal essence one, but I assume most are the same.

Also, can you wash your hair in the mornings? And in between, you can try a Dry shampoo. You basically spray it on your hair like hairspray, then 5 minutes later, brush of fluff it off. I use this brand called Pssst and even though its white, it disappears after i shake it off.

Good lucK!

I have the same problem and I'm almost 30! I definitely have to wash my hair in the morning, every single day. Sometimes dry shampoo can help on really oily days. It comes in a spray form and it's pretty cool.

I know a lot of people tell us not to wash hair everyday because it's not necessary. But unfortunately it is necessary for some of us.

My mother can go almost a week without washing! so lucky.

Your skin, hair, nails etc. and other simple tips . I heard The Body book recipes for natural body care. What would be some good hair care tips/shampoos and body washes to use?
