| Do you think that individual wefts flow better and blend better with your own hair than the one piece multi layers or even when you sew or glue 2-3 wefts together?? I glued about 3 wefts together and they just kind of lay on my head and don't move.. very annoying.. what method is best to make hair extensions look natureal.. only clip ins though |

I'm not too sure what you mean by "individual wefts" versus "one piece multi layers"?...
Maybe you mean individual bonds, as in fusion? Versus a weft?...
If so, yes, some women prefer to wear fusion (with micro rings or keratin bonds etc.) but other women prefer to wear weft because the application can be faster and you can get more thickness usually with a weft install.
Or maybe you're asking whether you should cut your weft into smaller pieces (for like the back rows and side rows)?... Most of us do the later, we cut pieces of weft for the back and the sides usually. I know you can apply a weft with its own length uncut, but then it's probably better to hae a stylist + some thicker hair imo.

Yeah, individuals move much more naturally than wefts. That is a fact, but too me, they seem more damaging and harder to install. Often, if you are concerned with movement of clip-ins, it's because your own hair texture does not match that of the clip-ins, thus the hair moves in different ways. ------------- Love clip-ins and tape! |

| Very good point about the texture of the hair, Fakeizme. I know that for me, the texture of the hair I wear, whether clip ins of permanent method, is thicker than my own hair. But I love that. It's sleeker, heavier and can take the heat from styling tools. Sometimes running a straightening iron through your hair + extensions both can really help blend everything and make everything flow in the same way. |

I think what wvpumpkin is asking is this: Do multiple rows of single wefts move more naturally than do multiple wefts in a single row? (aka doubled/tripled weft rows versus single rows of wefts) WV, I'm thinking that yes they do move more naturally rather than having all the wefts clumped together on one row of your head. It allows you to hide more of the shorter layers of your own hair by sandwiching it between all the rows. |

| If that was the question, then yes, multiple rows will give a more uniform look obviously. If you glue too many wefts together you might get some matting after a few weeks as well. |

I made my own clip in's and on some of the pieces I put two wefts and on other pieces I put 3. I used about 4 oz of hair totally and I don't have any problems with the flow or movement of the hair or blending either.
I think it depends on the look that you are going for and how long your natural hair is to start with. I used more hair because mine is so short to start with, but after wearing these clip in's for a while I think the pieces where I sewed 3 wefts on to the clips probably only needed 2 wefts, I kind of look like a brat doll with all that hair! As far as gluing extensions together, do you mean like weft on top of weft?? I think that unless you have uber-thick hair all those wefts will be kind of obvious because of the added thickness. Most 32mm clips have 3 holes down either side. Sew one weft onto each hole starting from the bottom hole up. Then the weft isn't stacked one on top of the other but aligned one under the other for a flatter result. |

You actually explained it very well and it is something that can be done according to your hair and I have heard from many people that instead of individuals, wefts are much more beneficial and many people prefers the most. I never had a problem with the top of the clip being exposed. I think the reason to sew across the top would be to pull the weft up so that it hid the clip, or possibly for added support, but it would only support the top weft layer, not the second weft sewn onto the middle hole on the side of the clip... but I mean, the top of your hair will cover the clips, and the wefts, so I figured it would be a lot of added effort for no real reason. Glad it helped :)I'm not the most gentle person with my clip-ins and I used just basic (kinda cheap) sewing thread and everything has held up pretty great :) |
