Man is this woman gorgeous.  And as I've said before, this is one woman who should NOT cut her hair short (although I know she would still be gorgeous),

She looks great. FYI, to get the link to work, remove two of the backslashes.

You guys are going to think I'm crazy since I love long hair, I love Amanda with long hair and I generally love bangs. But she had to cut off a lot of hair to get those bangs. And I'm not sure her character on "The Mentalist" should have bangs.

I wonder how they'll work it into the script.

Whether she had to cut a lot of hair to get the bangs or not....it sure works!

Oh, I like those bangs! And she lost some of the length, too. Right?

Wow is right! Who cares if her character should have bangs or not, it sure works for her!!! I think she has to be my current favorite long-haired gal on TV.

Looks that way to me, too.  And it also looks as though she added some subdued highlights.

I'm on the fence about this one.  Her hair was fabulous without bangs.    There is such a thing as trying to  improve on perfection.

Yeah, it's worth to cut a lot of hair to get the bangs. It's pretty good. ^o^

If you look at some of the pics here, it doesn't look like she lost a lot, if any, length.

Again, she is just drop-dead gorgeous.  And she has a beautiful smile to go along with that beautiful hair.

Have to change my vote on this one.   The first set of pics is OK, though I liked it better before the bangs.  But then I saw the photos on Getty from  the 9th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree on August 12.  Absolute disaster!  I have never seen bangs so completely change a woman's appearance, and it's all bad.  Just compare this to  her off the face 'do at the  13th Annual Entertainment Tonight And People Magazine Emmys After Party on 9/29/09.

To make matters worse, this could be a short cut, though I'm pretty sure it's just tied back.  But if you want to know how she looks with the heavy bangs and short hair . . . .

Here comes the funny (and relieving) part:
it's a hairpiece.

I don't have the link ready but search for 'Righetti' on instyle.com and you'll find it under the Summer Soiree result.

"I'm wearing a hair piece!" admitted Righetti when asked about her new bangs. "My hair is fine, so I dont have enough hair to do a full on bang. My stylist was like, 'We've got to get you a fringe piece!' Now I can pop it on and off whenever I feel like it."

You're right, Durango, the short-with-bangs look doesn't work for her. Terrible.

But she didn't cut her hair...this photo is even more recent. That look works, even though I prefer her bangless.
