I've been talking to a girl who wants to sell her hair.  It's aprx. the same color as mine, but this would be LOOSE HAIR that I would need to make into a WEFT myself.

How hard is that to do?  Would I need to sew it onto a piece of tape?  Or do you have any OTHER suggestions for working with LOOSE HAIR?  She's asking $200 for 18", natural, undyed hair.  Does that seem like a good price?

Thanks!!

Yes, you could try different things... try Singer's wefting tape, which allows you to make your own weft from loose hair.
Her website is http://www.reallyloveit.com - www.reallyloveit.com I believe.
Or send the hair to a professional, who will weft it for you. There are a couple of good options with cheap prices, but I don't remember their names.
They were definitely discussed on hairextensions101 forum, so go look for old posts on the topic.
As for the price she's asking, it sounds very good indeed. For an idea of what is out there, check out the hair trader website, where people sell their own hair. It can go in the thousands easy.
The longer, the lighter and the healthier generally, the more expensive.
Make sure you get a decent length because the wefting process might use up 1 to 2 inches.

Thanks!   What is the URL of the HAIR TRADERS site? I tried doing a web search, but I only came up with a list of salons that use that name.

Losing 1" to 2" could be a problem, since her 18" hair was border-line too short for me anyway! (I'm using 20" right now.)

If anyone ELSE is interested, she seems like a trust-worthy person and sent me photos! She listed under the "Buy/Sell/Swap Hair" topic of THIS BOARD, and her ID is "baldee101".
