Best of luck to you, SP161! You DO look like a teen to early 20's woman. I love every natural looking color on a woman, but I agree that lighter works best on you. Hang in there, and you'll have gorgeous long hair soon. And yes, fine hair can look super at any long length, as long as it's pampered along the way. Look at your short cut as a learning experience. Smile Bob

This thread is also evidence for how well baking soda and head and shoulders works for hair dye fading. I looked up a bunch of home remedies on the internet :)

Whatever color you wind up with, the photo of you with longer hair rocks. If you weren't happy with the cut, remember that the next time your friends give you unwanted advice. Good luck.

Yeah, if you want to grow it, you just can't trust stylists! Its a shame, but so often true.

When your hair was dyed, even though you were doing darker shades, the dye had peroxide mixed with it. This could have lightened your hair to the orangy shade, which just wasn't visible under the dye. So, this shade may technically be the undyed color of your hair now. Your hair looks pretty, I envy its shine!

From the US to New Zealand, there seems to be a percentage of stylists who do not listen, or who think that THEY know best. Very sorry! Hang in there. Your perseverence WILL be rewarded over time. I think that the color looks nice, FWIW. Smile Bob
