Okay so my hair is about 2 1/2 maybe 3 inches and a while after I shower it puffs up but I like the way it looks flat. Could you offer suggestions on how to keep it flat or suggest a different style?

I know this sounds pretty 'gay' but I haven't really bothered with my hair and now it's starting to annoy me.
