I have really thick hair. I straighten it with keratin just to be able to pull this cut off. This picture is 6 months old and I havent cut it in about 5 months so its about to reach my shoulders. I am not sure whether to go on growing or go for a really short do. I am on the fence. Any ideas?

| How short are you thinking about? Really short hair is a shoulder length bob to some, or a 1/8" buzzcut to others. |

If it has natural wave/curls and is thick...a pixie would work great. Think of someone like Halle Berry. If you want it straight, longer hair will tend to weigh it down more. Though I think it is better to work with your natural hair type rather than having to use products/equipment to make your hair do something else. |

I would do a wedge with nape and sides short over the ears and long on top (about 3 to 4"). Definitely add long slice cut bangs with a side part. Have the front highlighted a lot more than the top and really heavy around the face and darker for the underside. Think about it.

Thanks for the feedback. I am going to see a friend this week-end who just got a pixie and her hair is a lot like mine. If it looks good on her I might talk my stylist into doing it. At this point he refuses to do it becasue he says it won't work with my hair.

I feel your hair would look great with a longer pixie cut. If I was your stylist and you asked me to do that cut I would just have to ask you, "Are you sure?". Most who ask for short cuts are very positive that this is what they want. If I sense hesitation I to then am hesitant. Just be sure and take plenty of pictures of the cut you want and ask plenty of questions. then if he does not want to cut it find a new stylist. Mike

I am SO SORRY! I didn't know another inappropriate page existed. The page I went to was pix of cute short hair styles - some studio shot, but most were just real people. I hope no one was offended. I will checkout the other sites. Thanks so much for your feedback guys!
