OK there's Andre Walker's method, Ouidad's, Lorraine Massey's method, Mizani's method and others.

Which one do you follow and why?  Do you mix and match?  Do you subscribe to the original Andre Walker of the one that has been modified over the years.

What about Fia's system?  Do you use that one at all?

Do you agree curl typing is helpful or can be too confusing?

The curl pattern is definite. When it is pulled it has an S curl pattern. It is very climate dependent meaning that the more humid it is the more frizz there is. This hair is also damage prone. If not taken care of properly the curls can appear dull.

Curly hair typing can be very confusing.  Use it as a base in order to get a general understanding of your own curls but know that everyone has completely different hair so no two naturally curly haired people are the same.  Don't get too caught up in the typing where you can't make your own decisions.
