Im oriental and I had my hair dyed dyed a medium blonde but after 3 weeks I decided to go to get my dyed again but the lady that did my hair bleached it alot and its too blonde white. I didnt really liked it and i had to change it back to a dark color becuase the next day I had to go somewhere and didnt wanted a lot of ppl looking at my so I went to the the drugstore and bought a dark brown color so I can dye it myself. But now my hair is really dry and damaged now. Is it because I dyed it twice in the same day? Can someone help me with this problem...my hair is really damage and dry now. I also had my hair relaxed like a couple months ago so I think all the dye took away the relaxing affects. Is there any shampoo or conditioners I can use regular to fix this problem or is it better for me to jus cut my bangs off because thats the only part that I dyed.

Hi Gq-vi3t,

The simple answer to your question is: Yes, your hair is dry and damaged because of 3 colorings and relaxing within the past few months. So much chemical processing is very harsh.

I've always admired the color of Asian hair, so I personally don't understand the desire of those who have it to alter it, but I could guess that perhaps coloring & bleaching is a way to sort of "distinguish" yourself from the next person who hasn't colored & bleached.

Anyway, enough of the unpleasant stuff... I recommend using a deep conditioner on your hair, every time you wash with a moisturizing shampoo. Consider following up with a light oil, perhaps jojoba, after your hair has dried. The combination will likely help your hair's condition feel much improved.

Good luck!

thnx for replying...I am already using a mosituring shampoo from salon selectives. What brand would you recommend for a deep conditioner from a drugstore and can I find this Jojoba light oil in a drugstore too?

Also for the next time I get my hair relaxed or dyed again is there something I can do first like using a special shampoo or conditioner before going through it.

For the budget conscious ( cheapskate ) just apply 3 times the amount that you would apply on your favourite conditioner and leave it overnight.
Supermodels says that they swear by this technique
