I have two questions. 1. Is benzyl alcohol bad for your hair? 2. Why is Pantene Pro-V not good for your hair? |

I dont know the answer to either but I did just throw some sample shampoo and conditioner away cause there were about 3 different alcohols in it and they were really close to the first ingredient...now someone said not all alcohols are bad but i just got rid of it to make sure. ------------- Natural BC May 9, 2004 |

According Lyris glossary of ingreidients Benzyl Alcohol is denatured alcohol that can dry out hair after repeated use. Some people say because it contains to much silicone that is damages your hair. Some quote that is makes hair falls off (my sister) Some says its too harsh. To me, it depends on you, if you use Pantene with no problem, why stop using it. I mean you can really go wrong because it is one of the most reconize and used shampoo in the world ------------- ARGHH |
