I have curly hair (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a327/MichelleKonstantine/Michelle%20Pictures/chair.jpg) but the top layer doesn't curl, it frizzes. My hairdresser told me it's because the top layer is pulled tightest into pony tales (breaking the curls) and it's the most dry (sun/air damage) that's why it doesn't curl as it should.

I was thinking about getting a perm to get those big loose curls. I love having curly hair but I like big beautiful curls. Can curly hair get a perm?
