I colored my hair blonde using Loreal's Megablonde a few month ago. My husband wanted me to go real blonde. My natural color is a light/medium blonde, but I haven't see that in years. I have a pretty good amount of gray so I have to color it.
I feel I look better in navy's, greens, gray. Those kind of colors. My complexion has a lot of red in it so I don't need to accent that anymore.
This is a link to what my hair color is now. I want to go darker because I feel it is way too light for me or not the right shade of blonde. I would like to stay blonde but go a bit darker and maybe add highlights.

I would love any advice you guys could give me.

It sounds like you are a "summer".
If you want dark blonde, you may want to choose one with a violet or neutral base, (although, your hair does not look very yellow in the picture, so it may go very ashy with the violet. Summers do look best in ash colors, but you don't want it to go purply or gray looking). You'd definitely want to test strand it because not only do you want to make sure your color goes right (base colors can show up on very lightened hair), but you want to make sure it works over the gray, as sometimes gray can be resistant to dye.
Lightened hair is usually very porous due to chemical damage, so you may run into two issues with that. One is that it absorbs dye very well, so it may initially come out darker than you wanted, but it will also fade very fast. You may be back to almost light blonde in 1-2 months because the dye just slides out of the porous hair, even if it is permanent. ....Although, if it didn't take too many runs with the mega blond to get your hair that light (if it was only dyed once or twice), your hair may not be as porous as most peoples' when they go to that shade so these might not be as much of a problem (it sounds like you started off pretty light).

I personally think that color looks really pretty on you! Also I think a medium beige blonde would look pretty on you and look very natural.
