why can't you just cut hair the way the client wants it cut???? why do you have to go and do your own thing??? ugh stupid idiots, that must be why you became a hairdresser though , huh???

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Not all hairdressers are like that.

I think some hairdressers have some artistic influence and like to "create" something that is more their artwork rather than a cheap copy (so to speak).  Not saying it it right or wrong....just a thought.

Either that, or, taking into account your face shape, type of hair, hair texture, hair length, facial features and personal style, you could be asking for a haircut that would never suit you in any way, shape or form.

While I would never say every single stylist out there knows what they're doing, as hard as this may be to believe, some of us actually do know what we're doing, so maybe trust us a little to let us do our thing since we've been professionally trained and know hair inside and out. We solemnly swear not to let you leave our salon looking like you've just been dragged through a hedge backwards a few hundred times ;)

Hairdressers, for the most part, are not stupid at all. There is a lot of work, including studying, that goes into being qualified, despite what people think.

People give us so much crap for not doing exactly what they want/how they want it etc, but sometimes clients want the impossible! Some clients was styles that are just not feasible to do, and if we did do them, you would complain at how bad you look!! Hairdressers are trained A LOT to be where they are, so please trust them.

Of course, there are some that are terrible at their job, but that doesn't apply to us all.
